What is Google Full Form?

Google Global Organization of Oriented Group Language of Earth is the expansion of the acronym Google. It is an American multinational technology business with a focus on internet advertising, search engine technology, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, quantum computing, computer software, ecommerce and consumer electronics. Due to its market dominance, data gathering and technological advantages in the field of artificial intelligence, it has been referred to as the "most powerful firm in the world". Along with Amazon, Apple, Microsoft and Meta, it is regarded as one of the Big Five American technological firms. When Larry Page and Sergey Brin were PhD candidates at Stanford University in California, they created Google. The space was invented on September 4, 1998. In 2004, the business had its first public offering (IPO). The top two websites in the world in terms of traffic are Google and YouTube, followed by Facebook and Twitter. In terms of market share, Google also leads the world in terms of search, email, office suite, video sharing, photo and cloud storage, mobile operating systems, web browsers, machine learning frameworks, and virtual assistants powered by artificial intelligence. Google is ranked fourth by Interbrand and second by Forbes on the list of the most valuable brands. It has come under heavy fire for issues like invasion of privacy, tax evasion, censorship, search neutrality, antitrust, and exploitation of its dominant position. ❖ History : BackRub, a research project that Larry Page and Sergey Brin started in 1996 while enrolled as PhD students at Stanford University in Stanford, California, is where Google’s roots are found. Scott Hassan, the project’s lead programmer and a de facto “third founder,” left before Google was formally founded. Hassan wrote a large portion of the code for the original Google Search engine. Few weeks before Google was formally incorporated, Andy Bechtolsheim who is a co-founder of Sun Microsystems, invested $100,000 in the company in August 1998. This was the beginning of Google’s funding. Incorporating the business in order to utilise the money from this initial investment provided as inspiration. ❖ Logo : To distinguish the search engine corporation, the Google logo can be seen in many contexts. In its history, Google has used a number of different logos. Sergey Brin used GIMP to create the company’s first logo. On September 1, 2015, a modified logo made its debut. The previous logo, which was created by Ruth Kedar and underwent minor changes between 1999 and 2013. For instance, global web advertising increased from roughly $6 billion in 2000 to more than $72 billion in 2011. Since its inception, Google has invested a considerable sum of money to establish what it believes to be significant advantages in online marketing. For instance, in 2003 Google paid $102 million to buy Applied Semantics, the company behind AdSense, a programme that allowed website owners to join up to run different kinds of advertisements on their Web pages. In 2006, Google announced that it would spend $900 million over three and a half years to acquire the right to sell advertisements on MySpace.com. That same year, Google also paid $102 million for the Web advertising company dMarc Broadcasting. With the $3.1 billion acquisition of internet advertising company DoubleClick in 2007, Google made its biggest acquisition to date. ➢ Goods and Services : Google indexes billions of online pages so that users may do keyword and operator searches to find the information they’re looking for. Google Search is the market leader in the United States, with a market share of 65.6%, according to comScore market study from November 2009. Google launched a new “Personal” option in Google Search in May 2017, enabling users to look for material across all of their Google accounts’ services, including emails from Gmail and pictures from Google Photos. In 2002, Google introduced the Google News service, an automated tool that compiles news articles from multiple websites. A service called Google Books is also hosted by Google. It allows users to search text from books in its database and, when permitted, view both a limited preview and the entire book. ➢ Advertisement : Google’s advertising business accounts for the majority of its income. This includes app sales, in-app purchases, Google and YouTube digital content items, Android sales of digital content, and licence and service fees, including those collected for Google Cloud services. By looking at the click through rates of all the links on a page, for instance, website owners may see where and how visitors are accessing their site using Google Analytics. In a two-part scheme, Google ads can be displayed on external websites. With the help of Google Ads, businesses can use a cost-per-click model to display their adverts within the Google content network. Through a client programme downloaded to their computers, users of Google Earth were able to view high-definition satellite images from all across the globe for free when it was introduced in 2005. ➢ Software services : The Android smartphone operating system, as well as its versions for smartwatches, televisions, cars, and other Internet-connected devices, is created by Google. Along with Chrome OS, which is based on Chrome, it also creates the Google Chrome web browser. ➢ Internet services : With experimental ambitions to develop an ultra-high-speed broadband network for 50,000–500,000 consumers in one or more American cities, Google unveiled the Google Fiber project in February 2010. Google Fiber was transferred to Alphabet’s Access division after the company underwent a corporate restructuring that made Alphabet Inc. , Google’s parent company. Google unveiled Project Fi in April 2015 as a mobile virtual network operator that integrates cellular and Wi-Fi networks from several telecommunications companies in an effort to facilitate seamless access and quick Internet signal.
